PechaKucha 20x20 = Awesome!
Truly an amazing experience on Friday Night! As one of thousands of presentations happening in one of hundreds of cities worldwide during PechaKucha's Global Night, I couldn't be more enthused by the energy I felt during this event.
While I presented the story behind my story to a welcoming, engaged audience, I was also treated to interesting tales from other folks who have also found themselves "out on a limb." From a teacher who climbed the Appalachian Trail, to a life coach who showed us the value of saying "yes," to a photojournalist who shared photos of her experience in war-torn Somalia.
The presentations should be uploaded on PechaKucha.org within the next few weeks, but in the meantime, a good friend of mine snagged a video of my talk on his iPhone. While the setting didn't provide enough light for the picture, the slides and audio picked up just fine. I invite you to take a listen to this 6-minute, 40-second story behind my story here.
Happy Equinox.... which I'm off to work on right now! ;)
